What it is
To promote the protection of personal information processed by public and private bodies; to introduce certain conditions so as to establish minimum requirements for the processing of personal information; to provide for the establishment of an Information Regulator to exercise certain powers and to perform certain duties and functions in terms of this Act and the Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2000; to provide for the issuing of codes of conduct; to provide for the rights of persons regarding unsolicited electronic communications and automated decision making; to regulate the flow of personal information across the borders of the Republic; and to provide for matters connected therewith.

Why does Albis Flanges collect personal information?
Albis Flanges will only collect and process your personal information (either directly or through our service providers) if there is a lawful purpose for doing so and as required by the laws of the Republic of South Africa and for Union Membership queries.
The contracting parties will at all times be informed regarding the information they are required to provide and will, on inquiry, be informed for what specific reasons they are required to provide such information for purposes of transparency and full disclosure.
What personal information will Albis Flanges collect and process?
- Full registered name;
- Trading name (if any);
- Registration Number;
- VAT Registration Number;
- Postal Address;
- Street Address;
- Telephone and Cell phone contact numbers;
- Email address;
- Type of Juristic person;
- Name, Address and contact numbers of the Partners or directors or like;
- Accountants or Auditors contact details;
- Registered office of their Auditors; and
- Debtors
can expect to have questions posed regarding their asset value, annual turnover, premises location, landlord details; mortgage loans, book debts and debts the debtors, customers and independent services providers may have ceded or are standing security for and the financial status of their owners, directors, members or the like.
Indemnity
By contracting with Albis Flanges, you indemnify and hold the company harmless from any loss, damages, or injury that you may incur as a result of furnishing incorrect or incomplete Personal Information to us. Should you not consent to all or some of your Personal Information being processed as set out above, please send an email stating same to the Information Officer’s email address below. Such correspondence must detail which Personal Information may not be processed and confirm that you are duly authorised to advise Albis Flanges of your dissent. Dissenting contracting parties are to note that should you not permit the company to receive and process Personal Information as may be required, this could result in amendments or cancellation of existing contracts.
Albis Flanges (Pty) Ltd undertakes never to sell or make your personal information available to any third party other than as provided for in this policy.

Any and all marketing emails sent from Albis Flanges include the option for you to withdraw from receiving emails or whatsapp notices from us. So, if you let us know we will remove you from any notifications.

When you provide a rating or review on any of our platforms, you consent to us using that rating or review as we deem fit, including without limitation on the Website, in newsletters or other marketing material. If you do not agree to this, please do not put any ratings or reviews on Websites.
Data shelf life
All the information that we process has a shelf life which is available upon request.
This means that we “clean” our database on a regular basis by removing users who have not interacted with us over a certain period.
In this instance the user will be unsubscribed however their info may still be stored security on our system for historical purposes.
What are the rights of a data subject?
At any time you can request to access whatever data we have on you.
You can request it to be edited or deleted entirely, or you may withdraw your consent.
All your rights are protected in line with the requirements of the POPI Act.
