Products & Services

Albis manufactures and sells flanges and fittings mainly for the Petrochemical, Power and Mining Industries. We also custom manufacture to suit your needs, customer specifications and drawings. We work in all grades of steel and no job is too big or too small.

WHAT WE DO

Our Services

The Machine shop consists of both manual and CNC machines. Our process and team of machinists together deliver consistent product quality. Our machining processes include turning, drilling, milling, threading and cut to size pipes. We are experts in working with the different grades of steel and special metals i.e. Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel, Brass, (we do not work with wrought iron or produce plate flanges)

Fittings and flanges are manufactured with the best available and selected raw materials, all procured from reputable suppliers. All material comes with test certificates and Quality inspections are done on our supplier. We don’t just supply flanges, we work with the customer, to identify the best material and product for the job.

PRODUCTS WE MAKE

Flanges

A flange is a method of connecting pipes, valves, pumps and other equipment to form a piping system.  It provides easy access for cleaning, inspection and modification. Flanges are usually welded or screwed. Flanged joints are made by bolting together two flanges with a gasket between them to provide a seal.

We manufacture in all different materials mainly forged with machined surfaces in carbon steel, stainless steel and mild steel.  In most cases, a flange is the same material as the pipe used.  Most flanges fall under the ASME en ASTM standards, unless otherwise indicated. ASME B16.5 describes dimensions, dimensional tolerances etc and ASTM the different material qualities. So, when you place an order for flanges it is important to specify two standards. I.e. ASTM A105 is a forged carbon steel flange, while A182 is a forged stainless-steel flange.

Albis manufactures and supplies the following which is mostly used in the petrochemical industries.

  •  Weld Neck Flange
  •  Slip-on Flange
  •  Socket Weld Flange
  •  Lap Joint Flange
  •  Threaded Flange
  •  Blind Flange

 We also manufacture special flanges

  •  Orifice Flanges
  •  Long Weld Neck Flanges
  •  Weldoflange / Nipoflange
  •  Expander Flange
  •  Reducing Flange

All types except Lap joint flanges are provided with a raised flange face

Albis Flanges manufactures flanges in a variety of materials, shapes, and sizes to meet your specific industry needs.

FLANGE BLINDS & SPADES

Spectacle blind, flange spade, and ring spacer are forged products used to blind pipelines (temporarily or permanently). These devices are cost-effective alternatives to isolation valves. A spectacle blind combines, in one single product, a flange spade and a ring spacer. Flange spades and ring spacers, as separate products, are used when the rotation of a spectacle blind would be difficult due to space constraints. ASME B16.48 covers the dimensions and specifications of these isolation devices

Pipe Fittings

A pipe fitting is defined as a part used in a piping system, for changing direction, branching or for change of pipe diameter, and which is mechanically joined to the system.  We manufacture the many different types of fittings and they are the same in all sizes and schedules as the pipe.

Fittings are divided into three groups:

  1. Buttweld (BW) fittings whose dimensions, dimensional tolerances etc are defined as the ASME B16.9 standards. Light-weight corrosion resistant fittings are made to MSS SP43
  2. Socket Weld (SW) fittings Class 3000, 6000, 9000, are defined in the ASME B16.11 standards
  3. Threaded (THD), screwed fittings Class 2000, 3000, 6000, are defined in the ASME B16.11 standards.

We manufacture and sell the following mainly in stainless steel, chrome-moly, alloys and carbon steel. We can also manufacture in brass, copper, aluminium and some carbon plastics. We steer away from wrought iron.

  • Elbows:  45°- 90° – 180° LR/SR – Reducing
  • Tees: Straight, reducing, cross
  • Reducers: Eccentric; concentric
  • End Caps
  • Stub Ends
  • Nipples
  • Couplings – Full, Half, Reducing
  • Plugs; Square head, Round Head, Hex Head
  • Unions
  • Reducer Inserts

O’Lets

O’lets (Branch connectors) are fittings which provide an outlet from a larger pipe to a smaller one or one of the same size. Olet fittings are a family of forged products used to make 45° or 90° integrally reinforced branch connections from a run pipe (header pipe) to a branch pipe (outlet pipe). MSS-SP 97 is the key specification covering reinforced branch connections, introduced by Bonney Forge ® in the piping market more than 70 years ago.
