Albis Flanges, the one above the rest, have been manufacturing the complete spectrum of flanges and fittings in all grades of steel, predominantly for the Petrochemical and Allied Industries for over 55 years.

Albis is a family-owned business, that was started by Oswald Haas in 1965. All five of his children have been part of the company at some stage. Daniel worked mainly on the Krupp and Koch plantations jobs, and was instrumental in increasing the factory infrastructure. In 1992, he headed up Metrotool Engineering, and today Albis and Metrotool work still work together.

In 1999, under Oswald’s guidance, Armin Haas, his eldest son, took over the reins, and Janet one of his daughters headed up the finance department.  Oswald instilled a value system within the company that still stands today, of mutual respect and trust, loyalty, Swiss precision, good service and performance. The aim of Albis is to run the operation like a Swiss Chronometer, where each individual gear meshes accurately with the next one.

The quality of our products speaks for itself, as Albis has the support of all the major stockists and suppliers in the stainless-steel industry. There is over 4 200 sq. of factory space, which house a selection of NC lathes, milling, drilling, grinding and cutting machines. The plant can handle large diameter flanges, rings and related components. Albis can adapt to the dynamic market requirements and supply you with standard and custom manufactured products.

Today, the company remains in good hands, as it is led by two of Oswald’s daughters, Monika Lupini (From the Construction Industry) and Sonja Walls (From the Exhibition Industry), who with their combined experience and in conjunction with the Albis staff, have over 100 years of collective experience in the steel manufacturing industry, and are one of the largest flange manufacturers in Gauteng, South Africa
